Gov. Cooper – Are You Listening Yet?
Last week, we delivered our letter to Gov. Roy Cooper asking him to use his clemency power to protect incarcerated people from COVID-19. Unless he acts in the next few weeks, Cooper will become the first governor in at least 40 years—and potentially more than 200 years— to refuse to grant a single commutation or pardon.
